Meet Rex
Rex is a storyteller, deep thinker, and proud advocate for neurodiversity. He speaks openly about his autism being sometimes a superpower, sometimes a challenge—and brings so much insight and humour to his sessions. School is a steady source of motivation, and Rex has already mapped out his future goals like a pro.
When Rex connected with Bespoke OT, he was navigating some tricky emotions and home dynamics, along with big-picture goals like finishing school, exploring tertiary study, and planning for independent living.
Our work with Rex is gender-affirming and neuroaffirming—meaning we follow his lead, respect his changing pronouns, ask about his preferences, and create a space that works with his sensory needs, not against them. Sessions are strength-based, low-pressure, and full of choice, creativity, and (always!) special interests. We love fidgets, slime, and intricate video game discussions with Rex.
Together, we’re supporting Rex to build emotional regulation tools and take proactive, practical steps toward adult life with mastery and clarity.
What Rex says: “It feels a lot less intimidating and gives it that more familiar feeling. There is always this air of comfortability, and I know that I won’t be judged”.
