We understand that seeking access to the NDIS can be a complex and emotional process—especially when families are funding assessments privately just to access the scheme.

Bespoke OT offers a streamlined, cost-effective, briefer version of the Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) tailored specifically for NDIS access requests.

Our streamlined FCA includes:

  • A comprehensive interview

  • Select NDIS-preferred standardised assessments

  • A detailed, evidence-based report to support your NDIS access application

This process typically takes 7–10 hours, depending on travel and engagement, and we commit to capping the total fee at a maximum of 10 hours. This ensures transparency, ethical practice, and best value for families.

Should you prefer a more comprehensive FCA, we’re happy to provide that too—however, we often recommend reserving in-depth assessments for when NDIS funding is in place, to ensure the most efficient use of your resources.

While NDIS access isn’t always straightforward, it’s important to know that eligibility is now determined by functional impairment, not just diagnosis.

  • A treating medical practitioner (such as your GP, paediatrician, or psychiatrist) is responsible for confirming the permanency of a disability.

  • A qualified Occupational Therapist is best placed to assess and describe how these disabilities impact functional capacity across daily life—and how NDIS support is necessary and reasonable.

Although we cannot guarantee NDIS approval, we will guide you every step of the way and provide advice and support around appeals or further documentation, if required.
