Meet Micheline

Micheline is an Elvis Presley fan, loves a good documentary, and can tell a great story of history. She’s a savvy thrift shopper and loves showing off her own clothes. Micheline once found great joy in cooking, but over time, motivation dipped and kitchen routines became very difficult to sustain.

When Micheline connected with Bespoke OT, she expressed wanting to feel more independent and confident at home despite having support workers who can cook for her. She talked with Ingrid about apathy. Working with Ingrid, they set small, meaningful goals together, starting with reclaiming the kitchen, dusting off the old pots and pans.

Through supported sessions focused on executive functioning, planning, and self-directed routines, Micheline took back ownership of her mealtime. And when she proudly served up her own scrambled eggs (with a smile and a plate offered to Ingrid), it marked much more than just breakfast, It was about courage, choice, and confidence.

At Bespoke OT, these moments are why we do what we do: supporting people to step back into the driver’s seat of their lives, one meaningful goal at a time.
